Species we fish for:

Smallmouth-

The Mighty Schuylkill River is our favorite Smallmouth Bass Waterway and produces hefty numbers of strong and sizeable fish. In rivers, smallmouths are typically active all day long, even in the heat of summer. Your Top Water Trips Guide has been fishing the Schuylkill for over a decade and knows where and how to find these aggressive and fun-fighting fish! We typically start offering trips in Mid-March (Pre Spawn) & Run trips all the way into October-November. But in general our favorite time to target Smallmouth is Mid March-July.

Largemouth-

Marsh Creek and Blue Marsh are our target waters for Largemouth Bass. For our Guided Bass Fishing Trips we love to be out on the lakes starting in early April and into the summer, even during the heat of summer these largemouth can be found just offshore hanging around grass lines, drop offs, and offshore structure. Marsh Creek and Blue Marsh are also great for Panfish & Perch offering a great opportunity for kids to see steady action at almost any time. 

Musky-

 Musky are often the Apex Predators of whatever freshwater they inhabit and are some of the biggest and most exciting fish to chase in the waterways they inhabit. With Top Water Trips, we will show you how to land and catch Musky on big waters like Marsh Creek and the Schuylkill River. Take a trip on our 18ft Tunnel Jet or Fish from one of our kayaks to find these predatory and hard-fighting fish!
